'chook lady'
this is the short story…as a child we had chickens i loved to play with them…..the ‘first drawing’ of me and a chook was chalked on the wall of the shed…..i still love chicken!
i folded a large piece of paper and then i added lots of watercolour, acryclic and pastels and pencil…i added lots of layers and then the paper started to rip…... of well adds some flavour!!! now has been patched!!

I have no idea where it stems from, I’m not a born and bred country girl, but I love artistic representations of chooks! I have a set of spotted ones from Sth America? a mother and 3 babies that sit beneath her..a couple of other winged treasures around..I find my random affection for them quite odd really :-)..but anyway, Shylie this is beautiful!Reminds me of Mexican art with all its colour and vibrancy, and the quirky figurative expression.Lovely work :-D
