Thanks everyone for you great comments. I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy on Maggie’s behalf. (which I suppose is probably the first time she has ever felt warm and fuzzy – being nude and all) I was expecting quite a few exclamations of anguish and horror. Most people who have never seen a Devon are a bit taken aback at first. That is until they get to know one. BEST personalities. Especially when they “ask ” you to please throw ‘Red Mouse’ (may he rest in peace – we suspect eaten accidentally – and repaced by Grey Mouse who is fun, but just not the same) for a game of fetch and retrieve.
Kalb, they do look just like bats. Kind of a cross between a bat and a monkey :)

She’s absolutely gorgeous, and your framing is superb. This is one of those purrrrrfect shots :)

I have a pic of my neighbour’s Rex (it has crinkly hair & wrinkles)....they are an aquired taste

Ah yes Sharon, Maggies is desperately trying to grow a winter coat, so she has very crinkly hair around her hind legs and tail. It looks like I have permed her. Poor kid lol.

If i am anything i am a cat lover, and I think i prove this when i say i am a fan of the Devon Rex; the most ugly and unattractive of cats if you had to chose one. They fascinate me with their wrinkly skin and velvety texture. This shot really captures the extreme characteristics of their person and appearance. What I mean to say is I really love this shot, and I love Devon Rex’s.

Haha, so true Emma, they are a bizarre looking animal, that’s for sure. It’s the “ugly” about them that makes them so appealing to me too. The funny thing is, once you have one, they become beautiful and all other cats instead look strangely fluffy with short ears, thick necks and roundy bodies :)

I would be proud Zee, except with all this attention, she has become unbearable. She demands her own trailer now, and it has to be bigger than anyone elses, she only works every second day and only after 11am. All food must be catered especially and sent from Nobu in LA. She will wear nothing nut Prada, and even then, only if it is supplied free for the publicity. Her demands are becoming more ridiculous by the day…

No, those dogs rock! If i had to get a dog, that is the breed I would choose. There is something so immensely appealing about the funny looking, nudie animals… you kind of expect them to have warped sense of humour to match. If our Devons are anything to by… the theory works.

You have a shpinx??? I am SO jealous. I would have got one but couldn’t find a breeder anywhere near me. The Devons were the closest I could get.
