Foreign Affair (Bring the ruckus) by

Painted by Rogue Citizen, over three days for Hoolie Fest at Shuga Records in Northeast Minneapolis as part of Art-a-Whirl;

The central figure is a classic American pin-up, larger than life, looking left toward a chaotic tidal wave of expression in her wake, perhaps the sum of urban music, street art, literature, and community. To the right, another head oversees the quest for military and economic hegemony, packaged for television. Or perhaps a science fiction fit only for a wall. What the scrolls record depend on who’s writing.

Shot with my Canon SX100 IS focused on the center section of this sprawling mural.

    The artist has captured our attention, taking an otherwise drab wall and turning it into a masterpiece canvas. Well captured Steve…Jules

  • Thanks Jules, This is only about a fourth of the mural, and that’s just on the back half of the building, plus the artists Broken Crow painted a great mural on the front half, I’ll have to add those shots soon!

    What a mural you can just look and you look back and see something else. Great capture!

  • Thanks, this is only half of this particular mural, and even more has been added recently, I’ll have to try and get the whole thing in a stitch panorama.
