It was very close to being unbeautiful, Linda .. a helpful visitor had erected a bright red tent just by the dark conifer on the point .. and it took a bit of work with the healing brush to get rid of it. Perhaps I’ll try a grenade next time ..

Fantastic man. I stopped using photomatix lately because I cant get a sharp image out of it. Been using the RAW image where as I used to use the jpeg. Oh well I will watch your stuff and know that it is possible.

The latest version of Photomatix (3.2.0) is just out and it boasts a more robust alignment facility than previously. I’ve not processed any hand-held HDRs with it yet so I can’t comment .. but I’ve not had any real problems with sharpness in the past.

No, Dawn .. Balloch is at the SE corner of the Loch and Rowardennan is about halfway up the W side .. just below Ben Lomond .. in fact, you’d be able to see the Ben in this shot if the trees on the right hand side weren’t there
