Oh my goodness Karl…this is one of the most beautiful compositions I have seen. Truly beautiful. Wonderful reflection and the colors are so unique! A definate favorite!

  • Karl Williams replied

Thanks, Ginny. Of course, I’d like everyone to think that the colouration was the result of my extraordinary talent .. but not so: I was playing around with hue/saturation and suddenly thought “Hmm .. that looks OK” .. and left it like that. The story of my photographic life .. play around with anything and everything until I get to that stage .. and then forget what I’ve actually done!

What a great shot Karl, I love the clear reflection on the water with the wispy fog crating a real calmness. A shot well captured.

  • Karl Williams replied

Thanks Lawrence. This is one of my favourite spots on the loch .. a place of constantly (and very quicky) changing mood.

Awsome my friend..Forgive me for being dumb but is a NDX1000 diffrent to a normal ND filtter???cRACKIN PHOTO MATE …. OFF TO THE FAVS SO I CAN LOOK AT IT TIME AND TIME AGAIN

  • Karl Williams replied

Officially, it’s the ND-110(3.0) filter by B+W, Rod. It’s the same as any other ND but very much darker .. so dark you can’t see anything through the viewfinder when it’s on. Multiply “normal” exposure time by 1000 and away you go .. about 10 stops reduction.
