Just beautiful Karl…dont we live in a beautiful country??

We do indeed, Linda .. but there are times (e.g. a wet Sunday afternoon in January) when my love of country gets a bit wobbly.

There’s amazing depth in this beautiful image…
Dannie Quinn
so this is the famous Loch Lomond? No wonder they sing about it…..
:-)
Karl Williams replied
It’s also very popular, Dannie .. which can be something of a drawback as far as undisturbed photography is concerned on occasions!
Dannie Quinn
You must have gotten this very early, before the crowds. It has that early morning magic about it….

Andrew Murrell
Karl this is amazing! From the look of the sky to the colours of the rocks in the water. Great depth of filed and the LONG exposure has given the image a sureal feel. I can see that you favourite the area with some of your other images. Well Done.
Karl Williams replied
Thanks, Andrew. I go though obsessive phases from time to time .. a month or so back, it was texturing .. just now it’s long exposures .. who knows what it’ll be next …...

Lois Bryan
yummy colors, Karl … soooooo magnificent!!!!!!
Karl Williams replied
I was up at the loch yesterday morning, Lois, and the mood was completely different .. all rather flat and hazy. It didn’t help that, because of the complete lack of any breeze, the midges (of which there were at least 14 million per cubic foot) were eating me alive! My mood was not enhanced by the presence of a bright red tent (right by the wee pine tree) which, scenically speaking, was as inconspicuous as a wart on Kate Winslet’s nose.
Lois Bryan
LOL!!!!!! OH OH OH!!!!! You’ve got me laughing at 6:30 in the morning … that’s not an easy thing to do!!!! Bless your heart … we call those midges of yours “no-see-’ems” ... and early spring up at the cabin they can be voracious. In fact, with all the rain we’ve been getting this year, I called them “see-’ems”!!! We had an amazing cloud day a few weeks back and I literally had to CLONE THE BUGS out of the pictures (which I never bothered to post here). Get some bug spray next time … it would be worth the chemicals to capture more of your wonderful “gloaming” ... and yes I was familiar with that phrase. We have it here in summer, but only briefly. Now … go get that wart off of poor Kate’s nose!!!! ... still laughing …
Karl Williams replied
That’s probably why the Titanic went down .. overladen! Pass me the hatchet ..
