This was taken at the Chatrapati Shivaji Museum in Mumbai , India. It is the copy of an 11th century fresco in Tsaparang , Tibet , by Li Gotami.

That’s what the plaque at the museum said . There are two deer at the foot of Buddha as he sits in meditation . Such a pity they did not interpret the fresco with all its symbolisms .

Even though it’s a replica on cloth of the original fresco , I am sure the artist has done great justice to the original. It was a little difficult shooting through the glass of the display unit..but i am glad the colors turned up fine . :)
