Earth Hour is a global event organized by WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature, also known as World Wildlife Fund) and is held on the last Saturday of March annually, asking households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and other electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.
This year it was held on 27th March 2010.
I lit this green votive for the hour that the lights were turned off this evening .
As I sat watching the melting wax , I thought the whole thing very symbolic
Green votive for Earth
Flame for the resources we are depleting .
The candle too seemed to have caught my mood and made patterns of its own !!
I discovered that my glass of drinking water was giving out multiple reflection !
The candle too melted naturally and so beautifully even on both sides .
some of the images may be cropped but otherwise are AS IS .
