The Little Lakes Valley Trail is must see if you are in the Sierra Nevada region. It is a great trail because a lot can be seen without much elevation gain, but if you want there are always those hard to get to lakes in the valley that provide a challenge. Unfortunately, because of its beauty it is also one of the busiest trails around so you have to time it right.
This photo was taken a few miles into the trail at a bridge crossing Ruby Creek which drains into Heart Lake in the background. In the springtime this area is covered in wildflowers. This was taken near the end of summer.
