One of my favorite hikes in the Eastern Sierras is through Little Lakes Valley. The trail follows Rock Creek to its source high in the mountains and continues on to connect with other trails. This was taken near the Mosquito Flats Trailhead in late summer. I still caught a few wildflowers in bloom since the valley is so lush.

beautiful shot!
Justin…this is too funny! I took this exact same picture last year! Same stream…Mosquito Flats…same flowers across the creek! But, you had better lighting & have taken a better picture! I really had to do a double-take when I saw the thumbnail!!!
haha. it is an irresistible photo op. It was pretty cloudy an the sun was going down when i took this. I had been taking similar photos all the way along the trail but the exposure was perfect once it got dark enough and i started getting photos like this.

This is awesome. Beautiful work!
Such a pretty country scene. Water is beautiful
STUNNING, WOW, WOW, WOW…
Great long exposure photo of this moving water! Beautiful!
stunningly beautiful..the wild flowers just adds more beauty
i love this place and I try to go there once per year… This is a great shot.. I love the lakes there and the colors of the waters… It is actually a tough walk especially at the super high altitude of over 10,000 feet :)
thanks. that elevation is a killer….there isn’t much ascent along the trail which is nice though.

Justin…check this link out… http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/262819029002...
This is the picture that I took! We must have stood at the exact same place!!! I got both our photos up side-by-side & you definitely got the better shot…but we must have been there at about the same time! Your flowers look a little thicker, so I’m guessing you were there a week or two before me!!
wow, that’s creepy how similar they are. even the composition is almost the same. the only big difference I see is that I went with a slow shutter speed. I should pull out my GPS and match up the time with my EXIF data to see exactly where this is on the creek.
