Heart Arch, Alabama Hills by Justin Mair

Small (23.2" x 15.4")

Available to buy on…

Heart Arch is one of many arches found in the Alabama Hills. You can’t really make out the Heart though because you have to view it from the other side to see it. Some of the other arches are very impressive too. They are everywhere you look. The Sierra Nevada Range can be seen in the background. Mount Whitney is visible on the right.

Great composition! Really interesting. I have driven by there dozens of times and read many accounts of the Alabama Hills and don’t remember anything about those little arches.

  • there are tons but they are hard to find because they blend in. You can only see a few of them from the roads. There are a few trails but they are unsigned. Usually when you see a pullout for parking there is a trail that will lead you to them.

What a beautiful shot, Justin! I use to live in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks ~ Lynn

  • i wish i lived there now. NYC is too far away from the Sierras for me. Central Park just doesn’t cut it.

I know what you mean. I live in Washington state and that’s too far from the Sierras
