I found this playa on a recent trip up to Sierra Nevada and i knew I would be back. This dry lakebed backs up against a cinder cone and in the far background the Sierras can be seen. It can be found near Fossil Falls in the Mojave Desert.

I love the lines here, I might try this in high contrast B/w as well
i have 4 or 5 other versions of this so maybe i’ll try that. thanks!

Congratulations for your feature in Landscape Photography. Interesting shot. Well photographed.
Great textures and contrasts. Well done.
Exquisite! When I get this Group running smoothly, I might start one just for deserts. And if I do, it’s all your fault! LOL, well, not all, but you’ve got prime desert photos. Thanks for having these up for view!
thanks. i love the high desert. when the snow comes in at winter its almost surreal.
great shot, texture and landscape
This is great! Au Naturale is the way to go with this one, but i do like DawsonImages idea of a b&w version, maybe with a little gothic glow added in. Very sweet! I’ve hiked the Sierras once and they are beyond beautiful.
thank you. i really appreciate the ideas.
Those cracks are fantastic, I wuld convert this to B/w as well
Great find Justin-I like the details throughout, especially in the ground.
