Spring Thaw, Lake George
This is Lake George, located in the Eastern Sierras of California. Crystal crag looms over the lake along the Mammoth Crest. It’s amazing to me that the ice doesn’t break up until this late in Spring.

Justin-you captured another fav spot for me. In Winter, we cross country ski from Tamarack up to Lake George for lunch. Of course, we always have to bring some nuts for the chickadees. This is a great place to camp too. I like your shot here with the ice breaking, showing the change from winter to spring.
