Last Light, Convict Lake
I return to this exact spot a lot. I have to say it is one of my favorite places to take photographs. This canyon is one of nature’s great cathedrals.
It’s hard to explain the feeling that comes over you when you are standing there staring out across the water…Especially during this time of year, when there is nobody else out there. You can have the whole place to yourself, or share it with someone special.

Wow, Justin…this is beautiful! I just visited Convict Lake for the first time earlier this month & found out just how stunning it is!! I’ve never really been enticed by the name “Convict,” but much to my surprise, I have really been missing out! I’m sure I’ll visit there often in the future!!

thank you, it is my favorite place to visit. I’ve heard that the trail into Convict Canyon is beautiful but haven’t explored it yet. The walk around the lake is amazing though and relatively easy.
