Christmas
A parents point of view on Christmas shopping.
It’s that time of the year
Go a little mad
What is there to fear
Everything goes bad;
You can’t find that favorite must have toy
The stores are jammed packed
There is no joy
When your cart is constantly smacked;
Finances are tight
For this family of six
All prices take flight
Hard to make the best picks;
You rush home
To hide all the gifts
How to hide a dome
So the kids don’t find the rift;
You rush to get it done
While they are still in school
Where’s all the fun
You are the fool;
Because when they’re all wrapped
All gailey and nice
Christmas morning your zapped
And where’s that Christmas spice;
What took you days to do
Is gone in one hour
The children have gone lulu
And everyone else is in christmas wrapping shower;
But all said and done
The looks on children faces
Makes you feel number one
At least your in their good graces.
