I guess I am the only one that sees this as kind of sweet, like he is saying goodbye to a friend he has know since birth, but has finally grown big enough to not need anymore.

    Lorena

  • Matt Bottos replied

Hi There Lorena, thanks for your comment. The photo is of my son just as he came home from hospital after a two month stay. He was born premature due to Pre Eclampsia. It was a very hard start to life for him but he battled through it. I could almost write a book on what the doll represents!

  • Lorena Maria

    Lorena Maria

Hi Matt, I regret that you having gone through this hard time but I also congratulate you on having passed, you have a beautiful son, and the truth I felt very touched by the picture, because your son was born the same day that my son Sebastian.
    Sent you a huge hug.

I don’t know WHY…but when I look at this…..it just brings tears to my eyes….it’s such a poweful, emotional image, filled with Saddness and almost the feeling of just being so TIRED….......and the tone, and texture here is just SUPERB. Maybe because it’s a little boy….and I HATE HATE seeing children so SAD! GREAT WORK Matt! xx

  • Matt Bottos replied

wow .. thanks so much Jacqleen! I guess for me this has lots of mixed emotions. It has the sadness & wearyness that you mentioned but its also about putting that in the past and moving ahead.. thanks again for your comment :)
