very beautiful photo – are the diagrams Neidan?

  • Rob Toombs replied

Hiya Hsien-Ku, i am afraid not.. The diagrams are relating to the Bronze man Statue. In terms of the point locations on the human body including the meridians, individual points and locations.. Nice to meet someone who has an idea of what it is about though.. do you have a Martial Background? Thanks for the comment… :)

taiji chuan (with and without sword)- but learned almost nothing of the philosophy there (great for chi though). Convinced a remarkable person to teach me about Taoist alchemy – led to further study in related traditions. Still more questions than answers.
What do you use the meridian diagrams for? swords? needles? breath?

  • Rob Toombs replied

I teach Traditional Shotokan Karate-Do Hsien-Ku. I study points for both defensive and offensive purposes. I am a Zen Buddhist myself but have studied a lot of Taoism.. Very very similar. I also fully understand Chi (Ki in Japanese). We use it to manipulate, push and pull in relation to not only our own inner self, but our opponents.. Fantastic to see someone from a similar field.. :)
