Let Us Go Forward Together! by

I have had this shot in mind for some time now, ever since spotting this rather glamorous red helmet and goggles. All I needed was a model and a MUA. Thank you Davina and Louise Brunning!

Made from 3 images, model, sky and aircraft. The model and sky images were both photographed in my garden. The aeroplanes were photographed at Biggin Hill air show 2007.

Technical Details:

Main Image
Camera: Nikon D3
Lens: Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8
Focal Length: 55mm
ISO: 100
Exposure: 1/200 sec at f/16
Lighting: Outdoors with Bowens 500W and White Umbrella
Post Processing: Photoshop CS3 and Capture NX 2

Excellent work John.. I would not have been able to tell this was made from 3 images. Reminds me of Amelia Earhart in many ways.

  • Thank you for that lovely comment LJ. It would have been a bit tricky in one image… “Left a bit Red Leader, left!” LoL!

So cool. Also reminds me of the Amelia Earhart era. And a retro style as well. Maybe someone can use it for a bit of Branding eh?

  • Thank you kindly Paul, yep, dear Amelia, my kind of gal. Not quite sure what we’re branding here, but interested art directors please contact me via RB, Ha, ha!
