  • Your comment reminds me of an old farm worker I knew who always referred to Southerly rain as “coming over from France” as if nothing of any good ever came from there!

    50 years ago the pavements would have been cleared outside their doors by home owners, but that was in the days of coal when everyone owned a shovel, a rare tool today in the household inventory!

    After living in the USA for 33 years I’m getting used to hearing people blaming everything on the French. If only they knew that a French nun invented baseball 200 years ago! Keep shooting. Love your stuff!
