I thought I would make a BW in the style of Kodak Plus-X for the retro look favoured by Barry Lategan in the ‘60s. The grain has the effect of softening the image.

Fantastic image John, I didn’t think any one still remembered of knew of Barry Lategan’s work.
Good to know that I am not alone…lol
    Great work – Peter

  • John Hooton replied

Thanks Peter. Barry was the first fashion photographer I came in contact with back in 1963 when I started as a messenger boy for the studio that housed three photographers. I was quite influenced by his work and I learnt a lot about technical quality from him.

Wow Fantastic image…love the retro look!
    cheers

  • John Hooton replied

Thanks Chloe, black and white images still look good for some reason and they have a longer lasting appeal. Perhaps this can be explained by the fact that we have to imagine the colours.
