A look in the mirror, a reality check

This morning I look into a mirror, and what I saw behind me was
A faint dark shadow swirling behind me in the background, was it
a ghost, was it a friend, or was it a foe? Or was it a just glimmer
of reality? Immediately I transcend into a deep train of thoughts.
Is it our destiny I see behind me? We go to work every day just to put
food on our tables, but food prices are on the rise, we as a country
starve for energy so we put the food in the gas tank of or cars, yet gas
prices are on the rise; four dollars fifty cents today; maybe five dollars
tomorrow. Eighty dollars for a tank of food to feed the SUV, Yet we
line up for a ration of rice at the food store. The farmers plant corn
but not to eat, just to feed our SUV. Less rice to plant, no wheat to eat,
no barley in sight, soon we would have no beer. The hoops was ploughed
under to make room for Cornfields. We call it renewable energy and we
subsidize the farmer to plant corn to make ethanol to feed our SUV, while
our bodies have no wheat, no cornflakes, no barley, no bread, no rice,
and no money to feed our SUV. It just maybe our destiny I see in the mirror.

Its ironic that we feed our gas guzzling SUV while the world goes hungry for grain and its by-products.
