Bonsergent’s death occurred almost seventy years ago, perhaps murder would be a better choice of word, and although the poster is not in the strictest sense an art form I think that the manner of his death is the highest example of pureness of spirit and moral courage and deserves the widest possible publication and acknowledgement.

The poster is on display in a small glass cabinet on the exterior wall of the Mairie in the village of Malestroit, Brittany and as far as I am aware has been so since shortly after the end of WW2, in order that his memory shall continue to be honoured.
