Our cat, Libby (a.k.a. Liberace) was playing in the Cherry tree. He was trying to get my attention with his cute antics.
This was taken in the Spring of ‘09.
He went missing around the first of January 2010, just days before winter really set in. It got unusually cold and snowy for us here in the South. He was fiercely defensive of his territory and quite a “scrapper” (great hunter, too). But, he never could stand cold weather for a long time. He didn’t take to other people well, definitely a Momma’s boy. We looked high and low for him, but to no avail.
I really miss taking pictures of him. He’d follow me outside when I grabbed the camera and loved to show off, even pose for me.

I am so sorry about Libby. He was such a beauty. Our grey boy, Jamie went missing. He also didn’t take well to other people, he liked me and my husband, that was it. He loved the mountain we lived on. He went out one day and didn’t come back. I saw hawks circling a few hours later, and I normally love watching hawks. It gave me chills. It was also bow hunting season. Jamie was a smart boy and stayed away from people. We looked and called constantly, no luck. It’s been two years. I didn’t have my camera then and I regret it. I understand how you feel!

  • Thanks so much, Susan! A pet can hold such a special place in your heart.

This is gorgeous. Our Tom cat poses for me(Mr Stampy) and loves to hide in the flowers or roll on his back where I`m trying to walk! Wonderful colours:-)

  • Thanks a bunch ;)
