hot summer days….
we wonder how
to keep going on
we say things like
sweltering, roasting,
stiffling, can’t go on
then one day we awake
to the crisp cool air
there is a change about
and it feels sensational
soft and sweet smelling
comes the snow
it’s really still summer
but this is so delightfull
clouds touch the earth
with a clean blanket
of white velvet
to sooth every creature
it is so nice and mellow
the cold crispness of it all
now we can go forth
and finish the summer days
with another song in our hearts
