after reading your profile this makes much sence. i like the vignette too. for me it isolate him from everything around. it only lets a few bits of information slip through. the wall paper, the sofa, the pillows and of course himself. the black is very neuteral, maybe like taking portrait on a completely white background. in the end i really do like the photo.
