I had to Google Willy to get the full picture. It’s complicated!!!
7 or 9 slates rad grill???
    Neil

  • Mine has 9 Neil….As did all WW2 Jeeps (aside from the original willys slat/bar grill)
The 7 slat grill was used post war.
The above Jeep image was pulled from one of the company’s current Logo’s.

When you have a Willy one should show it off to as many as one can….zen for the day.
I had a 54 hardtop, side mount tire with a crank shaft so loud you couldn’t hear the person sitting next to you.

  • lol Von. Not hearing the person next to you is a good thing though ….right?

Not sure what a Willy is but this makes a great graphic T. :D

  • There were two manufacturers of WW2 Jeeps.
    Willys-Overland and Ford.
    Mine is a Ford!
They were pretty much identical though, so only those who are pedantic enough (me) would know the difference!

Mine was a Willys, 1969 trayback. CJ5… not the pointy-nose version… very rare beast.

But most of the running gear was Ford… especially after I was finished rebuilding it.

A mate of mine has a fully F-Stamped WW2 Military Jeep.

And Willys, and 2 Amphib jeeps, A 1942 DUC, White ScoutCar Half Track, Studebacker, and a gorgeous 1/4r Tonne Dodge.
