UNLIKE ANY OTHER

This is a special attribute I give to all good mothers. What would we do without them? Words are easily expressed when one is so deserving of them. Though we are limited to how much we can express, I feel it is appropriately put together in this poem.

UNLIKE ANY OTHER belongs to the following groups:

Art For The World, Special Moments and Writing: Persuing Happiness

She is like a flame on a cold winter’s morning
As we gather around her to keep us warm
She takes the harsh cold feelings of the world
And turns them to soothing pleasures against the storm
Her hands are like a traveler’s map to guide us through the ages
With compassion and wisdom, she takes us gently through its’ pages
She doesn’t stop when tragedy strikes, at least not for very long
She’s already aware of how its’ devastation can take away love’s song
She will hold to your hand for as long as there is a need
For she knows the pain you feel that caused your heart to bleed
There is never a time that she won’t be there for you
She has walked the same path and each door she has gone through
There is an understanding she posses unlike any other
She is the glue that holds the family together, her name is mother
