Often when an explorer has other explorers visiting from other parts of the country, he will be asked to give a bit of a guided tour around the local derelicts. This shot is taken at one of my local asylums that I have been round tens of times, but always still offer people a guided tour because it continues to turn up wonderful shots like this, even after all this time.
dark, derelict, urban, evil, decay, abandoned, strange, alternative, abandon, sinister, twisted, asylum, decayed, exploration, decaying

All the doors are open…. which explains the world we live in.
It’s terrific – love the symmetry you have here too.
Thanks a lot :)

Eeerily gorgeous, love all the opened doors
Eerie, you wonder what walks these floors at night..wonderful shot!!
These images remind me of the 1948 movie, “The Snake Pit” (Olivia de Havilland). I watched it as a child and it left a very strong impression on me. State hospitals for the insane were horrific places. Those who could afford to go to private hospitals were much more fortunate.
Well done…
.
Cheers Dyle, pleased it invoked that for you :)

were the doors opened or did you open them? very cool.
They were already open, if i had opened them then the OCD in me would have had them all at the same angle :P
