Dropped Axe
Looking back through ready to leave via the only doorway into the room i could see the coal bucket again from the conveyor, but from this angle it looks like a giant axe has been laid down in there instead. I don’t think it will be too long before this room is not accessible, as you can see the door frame is rotting away and the brick work around it is much the same. Once this goes it is likely to bring down the chimney above as well so ill be making a point of getting plenty more pics in here next visit before it all comes crashing to the ground and isnt there to photograph any more.

Just as well this isnt a ink blot test, i would be in bother that the first thing coming to my mind is a weapon, heh.

You have such an amazing eye, excactly looks like an axe, lol. A shame it all has to disappear. So unfair.
i’m off to work but will be back to see more
Richard Shepherd replied
pinky, cheers, hopefully there will be some more you like once you look through after work :)

Love the framing the doorway gives, and that fallen door adds to the ‘story’ immensely for me. Great work as always Shep.

Thanks very much Rosalie, i considered moving so that door was not in frame actually, but im pleased i left it in there now :)
