Nature calling
I love how overgrown this main entrance to the stately home has become, with grass and moss completely taking over the steps and starting to take hold on the ornate stonework around the door.

This is really interesting. The blue door pops out since everything else seems almost faded. I see the moss you’re talking about. I’ve never seen anything like that before lol.

Amazing how nature eventually reclaims everything – that old blue door has the most exquisite ornate hinges, superb and hauntingly beautiful capture!

Yeah, I had a wander around an old Church and Parochial house a few weeks ago and all the walkways and stairs were covered in inches of moss and undergrowth, really strange the way it grows so well on concrete.

So amazing, creepy & so gorgeous. Love that strong blue door. Was this a private home. If i had money i would buy all these places & preserve them. Such a haunting image. Must be something approaching something that is beautiful, yet has a sinister look, too, wondering maybe if someone might be looking out the windows as you walk up

Great work. It’s a very evocative shot, but I don’t find it at all sinister.

What a stunning old house, & what a shame it is left to this. Great capture of it though & all the other pics of this old house.

Found my way here via the RB “Mosaic” Nice work and really like the angle of the shot.
