The view from our apartment balcony. We had a glorious top floor apartment in one of the best locations in Verbier, just above the Medran lift.

Taken during my recent skiing holiday in Verbier, the Swiss Alps with my Panasonic Lumix G1, 14-45mm with a polarising filter.

Editing carried out in CS3, with some assistance from Topaz Adjust, Lightroom and Photomatix. 1/3 exposures split and merged into HDR. Balcony used as tripod for this one :)

Much, much better when viewed in large, not least to see the people going about their daily routines.

Great shot, but can you do me a favor and add some additional information on the HDR process? Things like, handheld or tripod, how many exposures (if you have the setting even better), and what software was used. Once added, please resubmit so that I can accept into HDR Photography (3 Photos per 24hr-day) MUST INCLUDE HDR DETAILS

  • no problem Joe, thanks mate

A beautiful scene again. I’m always surprised by the numbers of colours we can find withing the so called white of snow – eg hold a piece of white paper against it and it seems almost blue…

  • absolutely, thanks for the visit :)
