Fading Earth

We spin like the tide
Tugging and pulling,
we sway in time
As strong as a current
The power of the waves
Washing away,
the doubt in my mind

And as I stand, in calm
(So calm) with wind at my cheeks
And the world in my arms
The sea roars, its protests
Like thunder in my skies

Beneath the surface

Heaven sings

And we will swim
As far as the body allows
Just to be rid of the land
And free of our qualms

And as I stand on the tip of this world,
Surrounded by ocean and burdened by words
I watch the earth, its glory untouched
Its beauty unseen, its value unloved

Waiting,
For the Earth to roar.
