Taken at Fingal Head, NSW, Australia just before dawn. The waves that crash against these basalt cliffs sound like thunder and are quite amazing to watch. This lone fisherman certainly had a great view!

Canon 400D and Tamron 17-50mm lens.

ISO: 100
Aperture: 16

Photomatix exposure fusion using 3 shots – 1.3, .3 and 5 s.

Nicely seen, I love the soft colors of the sky and the new dawn, and the detail and contrast of the basalt cliffs.
