A Little Bed of Roses
Yesterday, 12.30.08 I took my grandson on a little trip to our local botanical gardens. He is a budding photographer with a great eye. So good is his eye that he spotted this little frog inside of a rose. I surely would have missed it if not for his great eyesight and attention to details around him. We were delighted with roses of every shape and color blooming in December. It was a lovely trip and I have Zach to thank for spotting this little fellow in his bed of roses. This is my granson Zach’s photo of the same little frog. We took turns holding the rose stem to keep it from blowing in the wind.

O Carolyn this is just beautiful and the little frog is just wonderful. I wish you would put Zach’s up so I can view it and leave a comment.He sure does have a wonderful gift and it is a pleasure to see young people interested in photography. Carolyn, this is such a wonderful image. You’ve created such a lovely softness with the petals that they really do look like the velvet to which red rose petals are so often compared. With wee froggie emerging this image takes a floral picture to new heights. Of course, the fact that Zach spotted this makes this even more special. I can see why you’re using it as your new avatar!!!
