I had done around 2,500 dives and I had never seen a whale shark……the general rule in wildlife photography is – don’t take a picture from the back end – if you have ever tried to get up to the head end of an 8 metre whale shark, with the current against you, when every time this creature swishes it tail , the wake pushes you a further 3 metres back – well done!! I still quite like this shot & it marked my first whale shot memory!
