Hey, my name is Tim Shoen and for as long as I can remember, photography has always been something I have admired, yet young and totally inexperienced in the field, my first camera was probably a disposable. I do remember owning some sort of film camera….far from an SLR, but it took great pictures anyways and was able to switch into Panorama mode with the flip of a switch. I wish I still had it…just to experiment.
My first ever digital camera was a point and shoot Olympus D560Z with a whopping 3.2 Megapixels. It wasn’t a bad little camera especially for someone just starting in the digital world not to mention photography in general.
Sadly Mr.Olympus lost it’s life due to my love of water and dirt…not a very good mix for digital cameras.
My next digital camera was Fuji-Film Finepix A700 which opened up a whole new realm of vision for me. With 7.3 Megapixels, nice for camping and random stuff… indoor shots sucked to take as usual without proper lighting, but the outdoors was a blast. This camera still ranges in prices of $100-300.
I use now a Canon PowerShot SX100IS that I bought on a whim, with a 10X optical zoom, 8.0 megapixels, which I think takes awesome pictures and I am extremely thankful of it for teaching me a lot of what I now know about digital cameras, but now I’m looking and learning extensively about DSLRs. I’m looking at the at the 50D but It’s all about the funds, cameras are expensive…ridiculously.

As you can tell my subject of choice is the canine… given I work with them, training, boarding and daycare 24/7, plus I own two of my own…Seamus and Tropez. Dogs are my life and the easiest target for my camera, although I love to get out and get any sort of shot that I can,

So I may not be a professional, in fact I know I’m extremely far from it, but photography is quickly and strongly becoming a very well understood hobby.

I hope you enjoy, and please send me some feedback!
I am all for constructive criticism.
Purchasing my work is not necessary but would help me pay my rent, feed my dogs and get me some groceries, so it would mainly just be a charity thing, and it might give me some pride in knowing I’m doing an alright job.
Or If you want to just drop me a line….feel free!
Thanks for reading and watching!
