A couple of weeks ago we spent a wonderful week on the amazing Scottish island of Mull. Whilst there we went on a boat trip to see the amazing island of Staffa which we had half an hour to walk around and then we went on to another island called Lunga. I have already uploaded several puffin shots as many of you have seen but the island has many other seabirds that you can see including these amazing shag’s which are part of the cormorant family. Other birds you can see are razorbills, gulliemeots and kittiwakes to name a few.

If you are ever on Mull I would suggest you do this amazing boat trip

Well, with that hairstyle one might say he looks as proud as a peacock? or is that mixing my birds…lol. Love the emerald green eye and irridescence on the feathers. Wonderful capture. Sandy

A stupendous shot of a fine feathered fellow, Shaun! Every feather in place, an indescribable expression, & the colors! Too cool for words. Saw a number of his relatives, our common garden variety Cormorants (Double-crested), while visiting Massachusetts last week ~ but they were all either bucking terrific winds or being swept away by them.
