A week ago we went on holiday in the West African country of The Gambia. One of the main reasons we went is to see some of the wonderful wildlife, more specifically the amazing array of over 570 birds that have been spotted in the country, some of which migrate from Europe to winter in the region.
There are many types of sunbirds in The Gambia and I must say they are very tricky to photograph due to being very small, fast and wary. I spent many hours trying to track some down to get some photographs, they are truly beautiful.
