We have just spent a wonderful long weekend in London sightseeing, taking in a few museums and visiting Richmond park. This is a shot taken from the top floor of the entrance to the Natural History museum. At the top of the first flight of stairs in the distance is a statue of Charles Darwin.
The museum is home to life and earth science specimens comprising some 70 million items within five main collections: Botany, Entomology, Mineralogy, Palaeontology and Zoology. The museum is a world-renowned centre of research, specialising in taxonomy, identification and conservation.
