I have just spent a wonderful few days in the Lake District with Gary Kenyon, Jason Connolly, Rich Gale and my mate Chris, walking, talking, taking a few shots, eating great local food and drinking a few nice ales.
On Monday we walked up Fleetwith Pike 648 metres (2126 feet) down into the nearby valley and then on to Haystacks 597m / 1958ft. Whilst in the valley we came across this amazing derelict slate mine buildling. I could see that the sun was about to go in for a while so I ran down to this spot to ensure I got a shot of the building in the beautiful soft light…yes I did look like a mad man running down the hill…lol!!
