On the way to the Isle of Skye we stopped in Glencoe for the night to break up the long journey. Stuart and I decided to take a walk to the loch in Glencoe to get some landscape shots. Whilst looking around for a good vantage point I noticed a red deer stag about 80 yards away from us which did not seem to mind us being there, he was a very impressive sight. A few minutes later a guy came jogging past us, I mentioned the deer to him. He carried on jogging towards the deer which eventually decided to run up the hill narrowly avoiding a car on the road, we both cursed him, the good thing was the deer and the people in the car were unhurt. The deer settled down and I got a few shots of this magnificent animal, he was so well camouflaged I suspect none of the passing motorists could see him even though he was 30 yards from the road.
