After visiting Derwent water at sunrise on Saturday I returned to Ullswater where are caravan was, the weather in the Derwent water area had turned cloudy and gloomy, 25 minutes away Ullswater had clear blue skies and was sunny.
I delayed my breakfast to quickly climb up a hill (near Aira Force) to get a shot of Ullswater, after 20 minutes walking I could see the top…hoorah I thought…as per usual it was not the top…another top appeared in the distance (lol), repeat this a few more times!! 20 minutes later and at a height of 400 metres (1300 feet) I decided enough was enough, I looked for a vantage point and took a few shots…I did not want to get to the top anyway!!
Green hill fell is located north east of Aira Force on the way to Gowbarrow fell
