Carpet of leaves
Taken with a Canon 50D, Sigma 10-20 lens at 10mm, F11, shutter speed 1/6 second, ISO100, tweaked in Photoshop
Over the weekend we visited the Roodlesworth wood for the gorgeous autumn colours, the woods are on the outskirts of Blackburn (Lancashire). The colours and smells of autumn were amazing to see. This is a shot of the reservoir near the woods, I had to get low down for the shot and nearly slipped into the water because of the moss on the reservoir banking! ...note to self I must get myself some new walking boots, the current ones are several years old and the grips on the soles are going!!

This is absolutely glorious. all those floating leaves. I am glad you survived the “slip”....funny what we will do for the shot….but this was definately worth it. Perhaps while you are buying new walking boots you should get some wading boots too, hehehehe
