Above the clouds
Taken with a Canon 50D, Sigma 10-20 lens at 10mm, F11, shutter speed 1/80 second, ISO100, tweaked in Photoshop
We were very lucky with our walk up Scaffel pike yesterday, initially there was a lot of clouds around but after walking for about two hours we managed to get above the clouds….this never happens to me it usually gets cloudier and then starts raining (heavily…lol).
The hill about to be enveloped in cloud is Lingmell (807 m (2,649 ft)).

Thank you my friend, it took us about 3 hours to walk to the top of Scaffel pike and about 90 minutes to get back down. Thanks again for you ongoing kind comments ;-)

Well you managed better blue skies than I did, excellent weather in Keswick after Honister Pass nothing but low cloud! Excellent use of the foreground shale and rocks, lovely exposure and capture of the low cloud.

Great view….I did this from Langdale…11 mile round trip in 10 hours..I was so knackered I couldn’t remember the view, just the Dutch tourists having a long distance spitting competition. Thanks for sharing this, I needn’t go back now…
