New river bridge and Mausoleum at Castle Howard
Taken with a Canon 50D, Sigma 17-70 lens at 70mm, F11, shutter speed 1/80 second, ISO200, tweaked in Photoshop
Another shot from my trip to the York area last weekend.
The new river bridge was built in 1744 in the grounds of Castle Howard, the mausoleum was built in 1791 and is still the private burial place of the Howard family.

wonderful shaun – you still not doing any HDR work?
Shaun Whiteman replied
No mate, I just play around with levels in CS4 to get a balanced shot, HDR annoys me because of colour shifts which make the colours look like a comic book!! There is a time and a place for HDR but I like to limit it’s use….sermon over thanks for the comment!! ;)
Martina Fagan
lovely job nice shot:)
Shaun Whiteman replied
Thank Tina, it is a wonderful location!!
Smudger
my feelings exactly shaun – there is a time and place for it but certainly not on every shot as I was doing previously – so I now have the painless task of re processing all my previous shots which should keep me going until 2014

So beautiful old bridge and summer scene! I am with you same opinion HDR from the pictures, suits to some to the picture but most of no.
Shaun Whiteman replied
Thank you so much Veikko, I try to make my photos look like I what saw when taking the shot, HDR done badly looks unreal and in my opinion ugly!
