Hear Me Roar
Halloween season seems a good time for an image of my cat Isabella, doing her best tiger imitation. She doesn’t even need a costume!

Hear Me Roar belongs to the following groups:

This is such a beautiful photo, I have sevral of this kind of photo’s, but never that sharp! Excellent!
Jan Cartwright replied
Thanks, Ellen! Perhaps your rats would like to do a photo shoot with her? She’s actually a little sweetheart!
Verena Rohner
Great capture!
Jan Cartwright replied
Thanks for that!

What an amazing photo! I love the way that her nose is all wrinkled up too! What was she responding to ; was it another animal, or is she yawning??
Jan Cartwright replied
Actually, she was yawning. She tends to wrinkle her nose up then. Thanks for looking!

Fabulous! How clever you are to have captured such a moment so well. And, may I say, what a lovely, healthy set of toothy-pegs she has!
Jan Cartwright replied
Thank you – she just got a good report from the vet on her excellently clean teeth, too!

Wow! Great shot. She does look just like a tiger.
Jan Cartwright replied
Thanks! Something about this one really reminded me of tigers, too!
Ellen
I do think she looks very sweet :) But a photo-shoot with her??
I think after that, I have no rats to shoot photo’s of anymore :))
Jan Cartwright replied
Well, your rats might feel a little nervous, I have to admit. Our guinea pig doesn’t seem to be bothered by her, but rats might be a different story!
Scott d'Almeida
excellent,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Jan Cartwright replied
Thank you, Scott!
evilcat
Great capture, she looks pretty grumpy!
Jan Cartwright replied
Thanks! She has a fierce side!

Wow, talking about “in your face” image. love it. The intensity and energy are so powerfully captured. And to think that it comes from a cat…. I think that the pendent is the only thing that separate this kitty from a domesticated pet with a tantrum, to a ferocious wild animal. Would be interesting to see this image with the pendent cloned out just for the shock value…. I would never have guessed in first look that its a yawn, but a real aggression. ..
Jan Cartwright replied
Thank you, Eyal. That’s a good idea to try cloning out her collar and bell – I think I’ll give that a try. Great to hear from you!
Brian Carey
Wow, intense! I think with the combination of your perspective and the cats expression you make it look like, well, a big wild cat! Great shot Jan!
Jan Cartwright replied
Thanks, Brian! I think she believes she IS a big wild cat (and she weighs all of 6 pounds!)
