Being A Great Lover Of The Scottish Bagpipes
I was Thrillled To Have Heard A Presentation In
My Home Town (In Tasmania) Today By The Launceston Caledonian Pipe
Band (Celtic Force) Along With Some Members
The Burnie Highland Pipe Band.
Here, One Of The Drummers From The Burnie
Band (Wearing The Red Fraser Tartan) Takes A
Well Earned Rest.

Hey my friend… I too am a bit partial to a bit of bagpipe music.. My dear old Dad used to play Jimmy Shand and his band a lot so I think that is where it stems from… Of course, even classic Aussie rock sometimes incorporates bagpipes… ACDC sprigs to mind… Hey, cool image here too.

  • show my age. I can remember, as a child, haing an old wind up gramaphone in a shed out back, and playing the old 78’s??? of Jimmy Shans and his Band.
I love the incorporation of the bapipes in our more recent music as well. Some years back I had a tape of a Pipe Organ and Bagpipe performance..just magnificent.
Thanks so much my friend for your great comment :o))
