Help Please
Hi all, I have a problem I hope someone can help me with. I’ve just put a heap of photos into a folder for burning onto a CD. When I right click on a photo and go to properties, then Details, down the bottom is Owner and computer name details. I’m giving this CD to the parents of the baby I’m currently fostering, I do NOT want them to find out my name etc. How can I edit this info????. Hope someone can help.

I don’t know Sharon, sorry – just looked at one of my folders and it also gives the name of the folder location with my name on it.
Hi Kala, thanks for answering,I hope it can be done, I certainly won’t be printing up over a hundred photos, lol.

Hi Sharon, I think you might be able to change it. You would have to go to Computer, then System Properties, On there will have computer name and domain, your name, and you will have to change the settings by putting in something different. Or you can go into Administrations on Computer into User Accounts.
Hope this helps a bit.
An Exif Hider may help you ..searching on Google for ‘Exif Hide’ or ‘Exif Hider’ may help you……
I remember seeing something awhile back that showed how you can always find the address of where the picture was taken, any picture, by clicking a specific series of links. I tried it, but wasn’t able to do it because my computer didn’t have the right links (too old?).
The point was, you can never be truly anonymous.
Hi Sharon,
Thats only the file path as to where the photos are on your pc. Once you burn the images to cd the only exif data will be the actual image data. You can double chesk this by burning you CD closing all files then open the images from the disk & none of your pc details will be visible to other users.
I hope this helps

I have just double checked Sharon & when you go to the image properties on each image your personal details are there but there is a tab to click on “do you want to remove personal information” and to make a copy without the info.
