Good capture MIL. You’ve got the light just about right in a difficult condition, you’ve framed the shot nicely also. I could see theis being on postcards in the souvenier shop of the War Memorial or featured in Canberra/War Memorial visitors brochures.

Lovely shot. The light really shows up the matt paint nicely. The guys used to take (smuggle) empty beer bottles with them to throw out over German towns. The bottles tumbled and whistled on the way down.

Great tribute to this great plane, Sharon. The lighting is wonderful.
I once saw one of these at RAF museum in Hendon, but the ligthing was deliberately kept so low, that photograping was impossible.
    Great work.

Sharon, Each year i see the Lancaster fly along with tow spitfires, at farnborough Air Show. On their return to base, They actually fly over my house. The noise of a Lancaster bomber in the distance is amazing. You have captured history well. This is definately favored.
