The beautiful gum flower. Native to Australia – the Eucalyptus (Gum) Tree produces little pods, from which these stunning flowers burst forth.
After the flowers die off – the pods continue to grow into Gum Nuts – which are a favourite source of food for just about all Australian Native birds.

A New Life Begins For Us
With Every Second.
Let Us Go Forward Joyously
To Meet It.
We Must Press On,
Whether We Will Or No,
And We Shall Walk Better
With Our Eyes Before Us
Than With Them Cast Behind.

I just love the way you have “painted” with orange from corner to corner – and the contrasting emerald – so beautiful :-))

  • Thanks so much for your lovely comment Kira. I love to take shots from different angles – and was very happy with how this one came out – particularly the colours. The background green is actually a gum leaf.
